In 2019, Maison Sassy teamed up with Coupette, a world-renowned cocktail bar featured in the 50 best bars in the world to create a Limited Edition SASSY X Coupette Calvados.
The partnership with Coupette, London’s leading Calvados bar, resulted in two unique spirits, the first, Calvados Fine, is a fresh, youthful and vibrant Calvados with aromas of fresh green apple. Once distilled, the eau de vie spends at least two years in oak barrels, giving it structure, complexity and a sophisticated finish. This Calvados is best enjoyed in cocktails, or on its own over ice.
The terroir of our Coupette Calvados Fine
Our Calvados Fine x Coupette is an artisanal product. More than 30 varieties of apples were needed, mainly bitter and bittersweet apples, typical of the Normandy region. They are harvested in October and November, washed, sorted by hand before being pressed. The extracted must then ferments in a vat for 4 or 5 weeks after pressing, before being quickly distilled in order to preserve the aromas of fresh fruit as much as possible.
The production of our Coupette Calvados Fine is entirely environmentally friendly.
A unique flavour
Our Coupette Calvados Fine is a real gem for lovers of artisanal and quality Calvados Fine. It has a slightly amber colour, clear with bright reflections that immediately attracts attention.
The palate is both lively and ample. The woody structure is light in order to preserve the fresh apple as much as possible, the finish is characterised by a beautiful roundness. On the nose, you can smell the aromas of fresh green apples.
It is a real delight for the taste buds, it is balanced, perfectly structured and will wonderfully accompany your moments of relaxation. It is a natural product, respectful of the environment, with authentic and artisanal flavours, a real pleasure to taste.
The know-how made in Normandy
The distillation is done 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing a better regularity of the quality of Calvados. The still used near the Château dates back 4 generations (1923).
All our blends are made by systematically keeping a "pied de foudre" of the previous blends thus improving the quality of the Calvados. This also brings a better continuity and regularity in the blends.
The recipe for this Coupette Calvados Fine carefully developed and jealously guarded, is inspired by the Calvados served at Château de Sassy for generations. It has been perfected with our cellar master and Coupette to meet the demands of your delicate taste buds.

Frequently Asked Questions
For orders placed before 11am, we prepare and ship your package the same day (except weekends and holidays). If you place an order after 11am, it will be processed and shipped the next day.
